American Samoan, Anamarie "Maureen" Saupo, 14, was last seen by her family on November 24 when she left the Panorama Rd, Mt Wellington, home she had been living in. Police said she was with her aunt, Kalala Saupo, 27, who also has not been in contact with her family.

Sergeant Matthew Smith from the Newmarket police said it was important police contacted Anamarie, more commonly known as Maureen.

"While we don't doubt her aunt's ability to care for her, we need to be able to reassure ourselves and her wider family of her safety and wellbeing," Mr Smith said.

"We'd like Maureen, her aunt Kalala or anyone who knows where they are to contact police as soon as possible."
